James Amerigo DeMarino, 80, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, August 3, 2017, in his home.
He was born May 10, 1937, in Canonsburg, a son of Elmer and Ann Lesson DeMarino.
Mr. DeMarino was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Jessop club, Canonsburg Sportsman's Club and a life member of the National Rifle Association.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as an Industrial Electrician at Univeral Cyclops and Jessop Steel. He loved his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and his dog, Reece. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
On June 25, 1960, he married his wife of over 57 years, Carol Ann Shelly DeMarino, who survives.
Also surviving are his sons, James DeMarino, and his wife Tamara, of Canonsburg, Kyle DeMarino, and his wife Jillian, of Houston; daughter, Kimise Williams, and her husband Bob, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; brother, Jerry DeMarino, and his wife Candace, of Tallmadge, Ohio; sisters, Marion Helmich, and her husband Bucky, of Bethel Park, Ellen Stopperich, and her husband Barry, of Canonsburg, Phylliss DeMarino, of Canonsburg; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony K. DeMarino, and his sister, Dolores DiFalco.
Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, Supervisor, J. David Sollon, Director, 724-746-1000.Services will be held Wednesday at 10am in the funeral home, followed by burial in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
