Obituary
William Gerald Altieri, 82, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, July 22, 2023.
He was born June 15, 1941 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Alvin and Anne Kraynak Altieri.
On August 8, 1964 he married the love of his life Joyce Horner of Sheridan who survives.
Mr.Altieri worked at the Pennsylvania Transformer and was also a Vietnam Veteran.
Also surviving are his daughters, Deborah (John) Lombardo of Canonsburg, PA, Dianna (James) Ammon of Canonsburg ; Five grandchildren, Sam (Melissa) Lombardo of New York, Anna (Christopher) Kula of Ohio, Juliann (Rob) Murgie of Canonsburg, Chelsea (Seth) Becker of Canonsburg, Jacob Ammon of Canonsburg; Three great-grandchildren, Gwen Lombardo of New York, Cooper Kula of Ohio, Francesca Murgie of Canonsburg, sister; Liz (Gene) Baumgarten of Bethel Park; thirteen nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother; Gerald (Susan) Altieri, Alvin (Anne) Altieri, sister; Linda Roth.
Known and loved as the most kind and giving man, Bill will forever be missed. Amore
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, at 10am in Holy Rosary Church- St.Oscar Romero Parish. Internment will follow in the St.Michaels Cemetery, Canonsburg.
