Stella Louise Bevelhimer, 85, of Bridgeville, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
She was born February 12, 1933, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Louis and Mamie Foe Zanakis.
Prior to her retirement as an advanced nursing assistant, she worked at the Washington Hospital.
She was known for her outgoing and friendly personality. Stella loved God, people, and telling people about God.
She was a longtime member of the Central Assembly of God Church, Houston, where she was a Sunday School Teacher at the Former Glad Tidings Tabernacle. In her youth, she was a member of the Kathryn Kuhlman Choir.
Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Bevelhimer Kortyna, of Castle Shannon, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Charles Bevelhimer,siblings, John Zanakis, Irene Straka, Mary Ann Zanakis, Gladys Zanakis, and Jim Zanakis.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-7:30pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held Saturday at 1pm, in the funeral home followed by burial in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. A memorial service will follow in the Vanadium Woods Village, in Bridgeville.
