Shirley Watson Obituary

Shirley A. Watson, 90, of Canonsburg, died Friday, November 4, 2022, in her home.
She was born April 5, 1932 in Sewickley, a daughter of  Joseph and Sophie Chermer Godava. 
She was a member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church of Bethel Park.
She graduated from Canonsburg High School. She formerly worked as a bookkeeper for Union Shoe Store, in Washington for 15 years. Her last employment was Secretary and Treasurer for Local 585 Credit Union, in Washington, PA. She retired in 1990.
On April 8, 1989, she married John (Jack) Watson, who died October 4, 2006. They enjoyed life and traveling together.
Shirley's heart for her family was her life's happiness, and she blessed the names to follow with her love. 
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl (Vic) Massack; granddaughter, Sarah Massack (Russell); brother, Ron (Deb) Godava; nephew, Bryan Godava; and niece, Breann (Tom) Pitzer; great niece, Harper. She was also blessed to have family in Canada, that her husband Jack brought into her life. 
Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held Thursday, 2pm, in the Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401, South Park Road, Bethel Park, 15102. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
