Richard L. Jancay, 81, of Washington, died Friday, October 9, 2020.
He was born July 3, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of James and Jane Przeracki Jancay.
Mr. Jancay was a member of St. Patrick Church worship site of St. Oscar Romero Parish.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a toll collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Mr. Jancay enjoyed fishing, going to car shows with his son, and loved his dog Piere.
Surviving are his son, Richard M. (Lois) Jancay, of Jeanette; his daughter, Christine (James) Diplacido, of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Sarah Diplacido and Michelle (Patrick) Dougherty; four great grandchildren, Dean and Mckennah Brooks, and Rhylen and Patrick Dougherty; and his former wife, Dolores Pankowski Jancay.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Jancay, James Jancay.
There will be no public visitation and services are private. Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
