Richard DeMarco Obituary

Richard W. DeMarco, 72, of Canonsburg, died Friday, December 13, 2019.
He was born September 22, 1947, in Canonsburg, a son of Joseph and Rose Pacific DeMarco. 
Mr. DeMarco proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Mayview State Hospital for 35 years.
He was also an ordained minister and received his Bachelors Degree in Theology from Christian Bible College.
Mr. DeMarco was very well known in the tri-state area as an accomplished guitar player, member of Children of the King gospel band, and a rhythm guitarist for Nadine and the Dusty Rose Band. In more recent years, he joined the praise band at the Berean Fellowship Church, and was an active and faithful member.
Rick was a very kind, humble, and talented man and had a unique way of making people laugh. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his son, Richard J. (Tracy) DeMarco, of Sykesville, Maryland; daughters, Bobbi Jo (Rob) McMillin, of Canonsburg, Billie Jo (Mohammad) Tabatabai, of Washington; brothers, Armando "Sonny" (MaryAnn) DeMarco, of Canonsburg and August "Auggie" (Debra) DeMarco, of Houston; 8 grandchildren, Rachel, Chloe, Cassidy, Connor, Abbigail, Audrey, Hannah and Leila; step-children, Brian (Lesley) Levkulich, Tracy (Steven) Davies; step-grandchildren, Briann and Stevie; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diana DeMarco, who died January 15, 2017.
Friends will be received Wednesday 4-7pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held Wednesday at 7pm, in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Moder, officiating.
Burial in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private.
