Richard A. Carr, 77, of Canonsburg, died Monday, August 30, 2021.
He was born May 20, 1944 in Canonsburg, a son of John and Oma Bowman Carr.
Prior to his retirement, Rich worked as a machinist for McGraw Edison. Richard also worked in the Washington County Health System in his last years as maintenance. He was a member of the White Eagles Alliance, French Club, and he enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and word jumble.
Surviving are his son, Bryan (Stacy) Carr, of Canonsburg; daughter, Donna (Beth Schwindt) Carr, of South Park; his significant other for many years, Trudy Hutchison; his grandson, Nicholas Carr, of Canonsburg; brother, Jack (Natalie) Carr, of Palm Beach, Florida; sisters, Dorothy (Guy) Kouche, of Tucson, and Carol (Gene) Forish, all of Tucson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Carr, and his sister, Sonja Beber.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-7 pm at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. A blessing service will be held at 7 pm in the funeral home.
