Obituary
Michael Edward Phillips, 74, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
He was born April 15, 1948, in Canonsburg, a son of Edward and Antoinette Losko Phillips.
Mr. Phillips proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a coal miner, then worked at Western Center, retiring from Mayview State Hospital.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening, and loved spending time with his family and his dog, Bandit.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Elaine Phillips; his sons, Michael (Lisa) Phillips, of Amity, Kevin (Heather) Phillips, of Wellsburg, West Virginia; his daughter, Michelle Phillips, of Indian Harbor, Florida; step children, Scott McWreath, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Donald McWreath, of Canonsburg, Beth Williams, of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Owen (Leah), Nicholas, Megan, Hailey, David, Kaylee, Emily, Mason, Bryan (Charles), Kyle, Evan (Amanda), Donald, and Chase.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Sean.
