Joan Gall, 88, of Glendale Heights, Illiniois, formerly of Canonsburg, died Thursday, February 9, 2023.
She was born May 20, 1934, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Joseph and Ann Zick Dybell.
Joan was Catholic, and prior to her leaving Canonsburg, she faithfully attended St. Patrick Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Slovenian Savings and Loan.
On June 6,1953, she married Lloyd Gall, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage, who died August 11, 2003.
Surviving are her children, Diane (Bill) Weigle, Brenda (Chris) Cass, Lloyd Gall, Kathy Schofield, and Karen Houseman; grandchildren, Matthew (Melanie) Weigle, Laura (Greg) Riccio, Julie (Carey) Dixon, Robert (Ally) Gall, Aaron Gall, Katherine Schofield, Aimee Schofield, David Reis, Jennifer (Zach) Lake, Michael Bailey; great grandchildren, Max Weigle, Daniel Reis, Lexi Lutton, Cullen Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Dybell and daughter in law Jerri Gall.
Joan loved her family fiercely. She also loved her friends and their long conversations on the phone since her move to Illinois. She loved animals, particularly dogs. She was a prayer warrior and spent a lot of her time praying for the intentions of others.

There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in the St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike St., Canonsburg, PA, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to Washington Area Humane Society Eighty Four PA or St. Jude Children's Hospital, in Joan Gall's name
