Irene Manduzio, 89, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, October 6, 2018.
She was born September 22, 1929 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Steven A. and Helen M. Zerambo Smith.
On October 11, 1949, in Cumberland, MD, she married James A. Manduzio, Sr., who died September 30, 1995. Irene enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping and dinning out. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at F.W. Woolworth Co, South Hills Village for 25 years, and as a receptionist at Friendship Village for 15 years
Surviving are her children, Debbie Hoover, of Canonsburg, James A. "Jimbo" (Debra) Manduzio, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA, Christine Osborne of Canonsburg, and Doreen Dykeman of Canonsburg, four grandchildren, Christopher White, Stephen Dykeman, Danielle Foster, and Michael Manduzio, great-grandchildren, Dylan Gabriel White, Emma Jo Dykeman, Beloved niece. Cindy Coughenour, and best friend/sister-in-law, Christine Levi. Several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Sammy and Katy.
In addition to her husband, Irene was preceded in death by brothers, Robert J. Smith, Ronald Smith, great-grandchild, Ethan Patrick White, son-in-law, Patrick Osborne.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Departing prayers will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 11 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11:30 am in Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
