Glenda Joyce Napper, 74, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Canonsburg, died Sunday, January 12, 2020.
She was born April 3, 1945, in Pittsburgh , a daughter of Jesse James and Glendora Rainey Jackson.
Ms. Napper was an active member of the Second Baptist Church, in Homestead. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an OVR Councilor for the State of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are her daughter, Sydnee Napper, of Pittsburgh; son, John Napper, of Pittsburgh; brother, Stephen (Selma) Jackson, of Moon; 6 grandchildren, Ta-Jore, Brian, Xavier, Sykai, Jokani and Samantha; 2 great grandchildren, Xavier and Dominique.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Napper; her brothers, William, James, Douglas; sisters, Gloria Johnson, and Rayette Jackson.
Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Visitation will be held January 18, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 1pm, with services immediately following at Second Baptist Church of Homestead, 108 W. 12th Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120.
Burial will be private.
