Chester J. Osiecki, Sr., 92, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
He was born on October 16, 1928 in Canonsburg, a son of late Konstanty and Mary Klutkowski Osiecki. Chester was a life long resident of Canonsburg and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church. On April 15, 1950, he married Virginia Solties, who died on January 29, 1987. He started his auto mechanic career at the former Sunoco station in Canonsburg, which later became Chet's Auto. Chester then, became a partner of Houston Auto Service in Houston and retired after 30 years. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
He was a honorary member of VFW #553 in Strabane, a member of Houston American Legion Post 902 for 46 years, and the Polish Nation Union 116, where he enjoyed playing euchre with several of his friends.
Chester was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying water skiing, boating, hunting, fishing and especially spending time at his camp in Kane.
Surviving are his son, Chester J. (Jerri Dire) Osiecki, Jr., of Florida, his daughters, Patricia A. (Kenneth) Zenk, of Florida, and Ginny (the late-Gary) McClellan of Canonsburg, his brother, Stanley (Anna Mae) Osiecki of Canonsburg, seven grandchildren, Tricia, Chad, Tracie, Raymond, Shane, Ashley, and Christopher, fifteen great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, his loving companion, Fran Toth, and several nieces, nephews and cousins
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary McClellan, and his brother, Frank Osiecki, and his sister, Jennie Mihalko, who died December 10, 2020.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, from 6 to 8 pm in the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held in the funeral home, on Wednesday, at 10 am, with Rev. Sue Petritis, officiating. All state regulations will be strictly enforced and masks must be worn.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
