Barry E. Stopperich, 79, of Canonsburg, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in his home.
He was born June 4, 1944, in Canonsburg, a son of Herbert and Christine Hardy Stopperich.
Prior to his retirement, Barry worked as a millwright for Cooper Industries. He was a member of St. Oscar Romaro Parish, and also attended the Legacy Baptist Church.
Barry enjoyed small engine repair, fishing, gardening, Tuesday night bowling and spending time with his family and his pugs.
On August 28, 1965, he married his loving wife, Ellen DeMarino Stopperich, who survives.
Also surviving are his son, Mark (Karen) Stopperich, of Canonsburg; his daughter, Maureen Stopperich, of Pittsburgh; brothers, Ronald Stopperich, of Florida, Robert (Cookie) Stopperich, of Canonsburg, Richard (Carol) Stopperich, of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Miranda (David) Abbott, Zachary (Casey) Mullaney, and Renee Stopperich; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Stopperich, and sister, Linda Dix.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 3-7pm, at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held Tuesday, at 7pm, in the funeral home.
