Sylvia Ann Rockwell, 83, of Washington, died Monday, October 23, 2017.

She was born May 18, 1934, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Frank and Dora Wilson Cumer.

On April 26, 1974, she married James R. Rockwell, who died June 8, 2015.

Sylvia was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and loved her Border Collie, Carrie Ann.

Surviving are her son, James J. Ledger, of Canonsburg; daughter, Linda Preaux, and her husband Jerry, of Cecil; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Norman, and Ronald Cumer; and her grandson, James Jenning Ledger, who died in infancy.
