Stella Karchella, 83, of Canonsburg, died Monday, December 17, 2018.
She was born September 30, 1935, in Cleveland, a daughter Joseph and Catherine Giebien.
Prior to her retirement, Stella worked as a nurses aide at Western Center.
She was a long time member of the Muse Independent Club, and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her son, Brian Karchella, of Daytona Beach, Florida; her daughters, Denise (Roger) Carey, of Indiana, daughter, Kathy Karchella Dalbo, of Canonsburg, one sister, Diana (Clark) Greyhosky, of Denver, Colorado, grandchildren, Jason McCleary, Christopher McCleary, Heather Lee Duckworth, Dominique (James) Love; great-grandchildren, Jacquelyn Love, Jillian Love, Declan McCleary, Gianna McCleary, Christopher McCleary, Jr., Brian Price, and McKenzie Price.
On July 18, 1952, she married her husband William "Red" Karchella, who died August 17, 1997. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, William Karchella, her daughter, Grace McCleary, her brothers, Joseph Giebien, Johnny Bicowski; her sisters, Millie Hepman, Josephine Luboski, Helen Sobanski, Jennie Straka, and Annie Osinski.
Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held Friday at 11am in the funeral home, followed by burial in the Millers Run Cemetery.
