Mary Ellen (Fritz) Pihiou

Mary Ellen Pihiou, 96, of Canonsburg, died Friday, September 21, 2018.
She was born November 14, 1921, in Canonsburg, a daughter of George and Martha Rodgers Fritz. 
Mary loved animals.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Psychiatric Aide at Western Center.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother. On June 21, 1947, she married her husband of over 70 years, Chris N. Pihiou, who died March 11, 2018.
Surviving are her daughter, Christina J. Pihiou, of Canonsburg; her daughter-in-law, Rose Pihiou, of New Castle; grandchildren, Tammy  Bowen, Cliff Hultquist; 3 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas C. Pihiou; brothers, Elmer, George, Jr., Ralph Fritz, and sisters, Thelma Gamble, and Dolores Cunic.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation and burial services will be private.
