Lillie June Alderson Shannon, 95, of Canonsburg, died Monday, July 23, 2018. She was born June 1, 1923, in Houston, a daughter of the late Anthony and Edith Alderson, who later married John Jacanin, of Canonsburg. She was married to Paul Shannon, of Hickory.
She attended school in the Houston School District. She worked for many years as a cook at the Lou Karry's Restaurant and at the Hollywood Barbecue Restaurant, in McMurray.

Mrs. Shannon was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, and served as a Deacon in her younger years. Lillie was very thankful for her church family and all their visits to her and prayers over the years.

Surviving is a sister, Eva Jean (Jeanne) Alderson, of Canonsburg; a daughter, Jay (Donald) Beal; and a granddaughter, Shannon (Garrett) Alderson. Deceased in addition to her mother, father, and husband, is her son, Wayne, and four brothers, Kelly, Wayne, Howard, and Donald, and a sister, Geraldine Coleman. Lillie loved her large family of siblings, children, granddaughter, and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10 am, Saturday, July 28, 2018, in the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, 112 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg., where a Memorial Service will be held at 10 am, with Pastor Don Coleman, officiating, Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg, PA  15317.
