John H. "Rusty" Simpson, 65, of Eighty Four, died Sunday, October 8, 2017.
He was born November 26, 1951, in Canonsburg, a son of William R. and Mary Althea Kerr Simpson.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a truck driver for Penn Dot for 28 years.
Mr. Simpson was Presbyterian.
He was a member of the Russian Club in Canonsburg, the Polish Club in Washington, and several other social clubs. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
On March 5, 2015, he married his loving companion of over 25 years, Sandy Dulaney Simpson, who survives.
Also surviving are his sons, John Simpson (Christopher Dove) of Arlington, Texas, Brandon (Aimee) Simpson, of Freedom, Willliam Simpson of Eighty-four; daughters, Katherine Renee (Matthew) Kincak, of Pleasant Hills, Rica (Keith) Malone, of Washington; brother, George Simpson, of Washington; sisters, Sherry Smith, of Washington, Mary Skolikas, of Beallsville; grandchildren, Domenick, Marena, Giovanni, Landon, Althea, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William and James Simpson.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 1-3pm and 5-7pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held Wednesday at 7pm, in the funeral home.
