Irene Chmiel Supinski, 95, of McMurray, died Saturday, April 22, 2017.
She was born January 8, 1922, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Stephen and Josephine Szarejko Ceisla.
She was a member of the former St. Genevieve Parish, and St. Patrick Parish, where she was involved with Christian Mothers, the Rosary Society, and Orchard Lake Society. She was active with Democratic Women. She enjoyed Polkas, Polka dancing, traveling, and going to the casino.
Irene was employed at McGraw-Edison, where she worked as a payroll clerk for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor.
Surviving are her sister, Clara Krashna Dorchak; nieces and nephews, Linda Maffio, Diane (Frank) Snedeker, Michael (Joanne) Chmiel, Stephen Chmiel, Joanne (James Fall) Camerson, Karen (John Paul) Moran, Nancy (Pat Shannon) Chmiel; many great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Chmiel, who died June 13, 1969; her second husband, Alex Supinski, who died February 15, 2008; and her sister, Frances Chmiel.
Arrangements are entrusted Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Visitation Tuesday 10-1130am in the funeral home. A blessing service will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at noon in St. Patrick Cemetery. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
