Hannelore (Scheuer) Thomas, 84, of Canonsburg died Thursday, August 8, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 26, 1935, in Worms, Germany and moved to Ulm, Germany, where she grew up. She was the daughter of Heinrich and Maria (Kuhn’s) Scheuer.
Hannelore enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her many beautiful flowers, She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and will always be remembered for her beautiful, hand sewn Yoyo blankets. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. On January 16, 1960 she married Angelo J Thomas, who passed away on February 6, 2019.
Surviving are her daughters, Lorie (John) Trax, of Canonsburg; Andrea Thomas, of Canonsburg; her brother, Karl-Heinz (Liselotte)Scheuer of Ulm, Germany; her niece, Ellen (Kaspar) Vogg of Ulm, Germany; her great-nephew, Niklas Vogg of Ulm, Germany; her grandchildren, Brandon Smittle, Matthew and Michael Trax, all of Canonsburg; and Hannah Mueller, of Washington.
Friends will be received Monday, from 3 to 8 pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, Supervisor, J. David Sollon, Director, 724-746-1000.
A memorial service will be held in the funeral home, Tuesday, at 11am.
Interment will follow in the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
