Carol D. Backner, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, October 15, 2017.

She was born May 1, 1962, in Canonsburg, a daughter of William and Betty Lewis Backner.

Carol was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She loved animals, especially her dog "Benny", and enjoyed watching the Steelers.

Surviving are her brother, Bill L. Backner, of Canonsburg; sister, Mona DeLuca, and her husband, Jay, of Murrysville; two nieces, Lauren DeLuca, and Elissa DeLuca.
