Andrew H. Caliguiri

Andrew H. Caliguiri, 75, of McMurray, died Monday, July 30, 2018, of brain cancer.
He was born September 26, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of Andrew and Helen Chappel Caliguiri.
Mr. Caliguiri was a teacher and guidance counselor at Canon McMillan High School for 41 years. He had also worked part-time at the Peters Township Tennis Center after retiring from Canon-McMillan.
He received an Associate Degree from Point Park Junior College, a BS in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters in Education from Duquesne University. 
He was a member and served as President of the Canon-McMillan Education Association and was a life member of both the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association. He was also a member of the Washington-Greene-Fayette Counties Counseling Association, in which he had served as President and was a past member of the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association.
Mr. Caliguiri was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where he had served as a deacon, elder, and trustee.
Mr. Caliguiri was a member and served as the Secretary of the Keystone Barbershop Chorus, and sang lead with the 4Tones Quartet. He was a member of the Barborshop Harmony Society, and enjoyed singing and socialing with a wonderful group of men. He was a member of the Canonsburg Sportsmen's Club, and the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsmen's Club, where he enjoyed target shooting. He also had a passion for reading.
On July 16, 1977, he married Lynlee Alderson Caliguiri, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, a daughter, Amy Guarino, and a son, Drew Caliguiri; a grandson, Brayden Guarino; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents, is his sister, Ruth Ann Gallik.
Friends will be received Friday, 2-8 pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Additional visitation will be held in the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, Saturday, from 10-11 am, with funeral services at 11 am. 
Friends and family are asked to meet at the church.
Burial will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville.
