Louis B. Orell, 94, of Lawrence, died Monday, September 5, 2016.

He was born March 25, 1922, in Bethesda, a son of Louie and Stella Wisnoski Orell.

He proudly served his country with the United States Army and was a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post 8303, Lawrence.

Prior to his retirement, he did upholstering work at Mayview State Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Quarture Orell; and brother, Ike Orell.

Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8pm, at the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Services will be held Thursday at 1pm in the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., followed by burial in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, in Louis B. Orell's name.
