Lillian K. Barsody, 92, of Canonsburg, died Friday, May 26, 2017.

She was born December 8, 1924, in Eighty-Four, a daughter of Joseph and Barbara Kovari Karner.

She was an active member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Board of Deacons, and also on Session.

She graduated from Trinity High School with the class of 1943. She worked as a Switchboard operator in Canonsburg for Bell Telephone, and retired as a swithcboard operator at Western Center.

On July 20, 1946, she married Joseph Barsody, with whom she shared over 63 years of marriage, who passed away, January 7, 2010.

Surviving are daughter, Gretchen Barsody Mumper; her grandson, Christopher (Carrie) Mumper; longtime friends and caretakers, Louise Grasha Saunders, and her husband David, Jodi Ford, and her husband Tim, and their children, Shelby and Logan Ford, and Jason and Jessica Grasha, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Lewis, George "Buddy" Lankey, Joseph Karner; her sisters, Suzanne Wells, Margaret Jackson, Marry Park, and Elizabeth Druga.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation and services are private. Arrangements entrusted to the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are kindly asked to be made to the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, and the Washington Area Humane Society, in Lillian's name.
