Judith "Judie" Brennan Obituary

Judith "Judie" Brennan, 71, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 24, 2018 in her home.
She was born November 27, 1946, in Norwalk, Ohio, a daughter of the late Bonita Richey Hanlin. 
Judie was an active member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where she served as a past Deacon, volunteered serving luncheons, was involved with the Active Christian Seniors, and was a member of the bell choir. She enjoyed reading, weaving, and loved the outdoors, bike riding and kayaking.
Prior to her retirement, she worked in the payroll department for American Eagle Outfitters. She also worked for Pat's Hallmark in McMurray for many years.
On August 13, 1994, she married her husband, William E. Brennan, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Jeffrey (Tracia) Kunovic, of Mars; her daughter, Melanie Diecek, of Lawrence; brothers, Ronald (Sue) Hanlin, of Amherst, Ohio, David Hanlin, of Elyria, Ohio; sister, Nancy (Mark) Ballas, of Triangle, Virginia; grandson, Jacob Kunovic; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Spencer.
Judy will be missed by all who knew her for her cheerfulness, generosity, sense of humor, compassion, hard work, and her devotion to family, friends and God.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judie's life in the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, from 10-noon. Services will be held at noon in the church, with Pastor Peggy Shannon and Pastor Don Coleman, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff from Bridges Hospice for the excellent, compassionate care given to Judie.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, the American Cancer Society, or the Washington County Humane Society, in Judith Brennan's name.
