Jennie C. Polosky, 89, of Strabane, died Thursday, March 23, 2017.

She was born May 12, 1927, in Meadowlands, a daughter of Joseph and Helen Hosko Volen .

She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a baker, and retired from the bakery department at the Giant Eagle.

On May 15, 1943, she married Leonard E. Polosky, with whom she shared over years 66 of marriage, until his death, October 3, 2009.

Surviving are her grandson, David Polosky and his wife, Denee, of Venetia; brother, Ed Whitkoskey; and her sister, Helen Boylestein.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary E. Polosky.

Friends will be received Wednesday, 10-noon, the time of services, in the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Patrick Parish, Canonsburg, in Jennie C. Polosky's name.
