Clara J. Krashna Dorchak, 97, of Canonsburg, died Monday, December 25, 2017, in McMurray Hills Manor.

She was born September 18, 1920, in Canonsburg, the oldest daughter of Stephen and Josephine Szarejko Ciesla.

She was a member of the former St. Genevieve Church, where she was active with the Christian Mothers Guild, Orchard Lake Society and the Rosary Society. She was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. Clara was Judge of Elections in the borough of Canonsburg for many years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to cook and looked forward to holiday and family parties. Clara loved polkas and polka dancing. She had endless energy and helped everyone.

On November 26, 1942, she married Nick (Chess) Krashna, who died June 15, 1987. Later in life, Clara met and married her second husband, Edward Dorchak, on June 22, 1994, who died February 9, 2001.

Clara was the last of her immediate family.

Surviving are her four daughters, Linda Maffio, Diane Snedeker, and her husband Frank, Joanne Camerson, and her companion James Fall, Karen Moran, and her husband, John Paul; six grandchildren, Michael Maffio, Jr., Lisa Meyer, David Snedeker, Krista Edgar, Shannon Markley, Cassie Allison; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene and Frances Chmiel.

Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Friends and family are welcome in the funeral home, Thursday, 9-11:30am. Departing prayers will be held Thursday at 11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg, at noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
