Barbara L. Abbott, 64, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Canonsburg, died Sunday, October 1, 2017.

She was born March 26, 1953, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Edward and Helen Bushko Keener.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for Canon McMillan School District for 17 years.

Barbara enjoyed knitting, and especially spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Mark Robert Abbott, of Pittsburgh; her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Abbott, of Pittsburgh; brothers, Edward Keener, of Eighty-Four, James Keener, and his wife Catherine, of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Brennan Mark Abbott, Gavin Shane Mays; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alexa Lynn Mays.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
